Panforte is a traditional chewy Italian dessert containing fruits and nuts. It is similar to a florentine but much thicker, or a little like a lebkuchen. Known throughout all Italy, it is associated most especially with the Province of Siena.
Panforte dates back at least to the 13th century, in the Italian region of Tuscany.
Ingredients
Ingredients: Glace fruit (33%) (cherries, orange, lemon, sugar, glucose, citric acid, preservatives: potassium sorbate, sulphur dioxide), sugar, almonds (5%), wheat flour (gluten), honey (3%), glucose, butter (cream, salt), spices (0.5%), wafer paper (potato starch, water), vegetable oil (palm fruit), corn starch.
Deliveries to all main centres take up to 2-4 working days (Cape Town, Johannesburg, Gqeberha)
Deliveries to other major cities are between 3-4 working days.
Deliveries to remote/regional areas can take up to 7 working days.
