The AGA dual control is Aga’s best selling cast iron cooker, but with added flexibility and much reduced running and servicing costs. The two hotplates can be turned on and off independently. This means you can make a reduction in the overall heat input into the room from the cooker when desired and, in turn, reduce running costs. The boiling plate and simmering plate can be operated at the turn of a switch via the discrete control panel and so are on when you need them and off when you don’t. The electric AGA Dual Control ovens feature a low energy setting can also be switched off completely.

Simmering oven – The AGA Total Control simmering oven is ideal for slow cooking, allowing flavours to develop and making even the toughest meats tender. Its large capacity allows several pans to be stacked and a number of dishes to be cooked simultaneously. From a cold start, the simmering oven takes around 45 minutes to reach its operating temperature. From the slumber setting, the heat-up time is unchanged.
Baking oven – A moderate oven for baking cakes and biscuits cooking fish, lasagne or a shepherd’s pie, the AGA Total Control baking oven is truly flexible. And cooking sweet and savoury dishes together is no problem as the flavours do not mix. From a cold start, the baking oven takes around 22 minutes to reach its operating temperature. From the slumber setting, this is reduced to approximately 15 minutes.
Roasting oven – The roasting oven on the AGA Total Control grills, roasts and bakes bread beautifully. But new technology means it is possible to use only the roasting oven or to use it alongside either or both of the other two ovens. From a cold start, the roasting oven takes around 35 minutes to reach its operating temperature. From the slumber setting, this is reduced to approximately 15 minutes.
Warming oven – (5-oven models) designed to warm plates and serving dishes, to rest meat before carving and to keep food warm, prior to serving, for a limited period of time. Food should not be left in there indefinitely and certainly not for any longer than two hours. It can also be
used for drying out meringues, rusks and macarons.
Slow cooking oven – The slow cooking oven is a second low-temperature oven (5-oven models), operated at a slightly lower temperature than the simmering oven. It is used in the same way, but allows ultra-slow cooking over many hours, giving extra slow cooking flexibility. Having a second low-temperature oven greatly extends the cooking capacity of your AGA cooker – it doubles the quantity of food that can be slow-cooked at the same time, making this oven extremely useful when catering for larger numbers.
